Steps from your front door at 7343 Stream Way, the Gerry Connolly Cross Country Trail (CCT) awaits you for walks, hiking, and biking. The trail stretches 41.5 miles, connecting communities from Great Falls all the way to Lorton, running through stream valleys, meadows, woodlands, and urban areas across Fairfax County.
The CCT is the primary multi-use north/south trail in Fairfax County. Users experience a variety of landscapes — from remote wooded terrain to ballfields and developed parks, wide stream valleys to rolling hills.
Springtime brings wildflowers including bluebells, trout lilies, and harbinger-of-spring carpeting the woodland floor — many of which grow only in protected stream valley environments.
The entire trail is open to foot traffic and bikes. Some sections are wheelchair/mobility scooter accessible, while others feature rougher terrain. Some sections are also suitable for horseback riding.

Mere minutes from your doorstep, hop onto the trails that lead you to South Run Stream Valley and Park. This trail connects Burke Lake Park with Southrun Road. The distance along this trail from the dam at Burke Lake to Rushing Creek Drive near Southrun Road is approximately 4 miles. The entire length of the trail has an asphalt surface. Within the 192 acre South Run District Park are a variety of footpaths that are used by cross country runners, equestrians, joggers and walkers. Within the park are ballfields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and other park facilities.
